Understanding your “Manager of” access to team results

If you've been set as “Manager of” a team in Friday Pulse, it means you now have access to additional results beyond the results of the team that you are in.

In Friday Pulse, all users can see the results of the team/s they are in in the user list. Sometimes certain users are made “Manager of” a team to give them additional access, so that they can view the results of some, but not all, teams.

This function, along with when user are given “Access to”, can also allow particular Participant users to see the results of certain Tags, Locations and other Custom Attribute groups.

Visibility overview

When considering the "Manager of" and "Access to" views of results, it can be useful to remember what visibility different users have:

  • Admin, Analyst and Senior leader users: Can see all reporting pages, scores and Notes of all groups and teams
  • Participant users: Can see team scores and Notes for their own team, plus scores of any parent team/s of their team
  • Manager of and Access to: Participant users that can see scores and Notes for a particular group or team, including child teams. COMING SOON: If the user is Manager of or has Access to a team, that user will be able to access the Heatmap and Participation report for those teams also.
  • Note: Friday Pulse is designed to protect individual privacy. Results are only shown when three or more people from a group have responded.

The additional results visibility Manager of and Access to gives you is designed to help you in supporting the teams that you manage more effectively, enabling you to spot trends early in results, and encouraging you to look after happiness at work, together.

COMING SOON: This visibility also includes access to the Heatmap and Participation report, so you can monitor how the team/s you are “Manager of” (and any of their sub-teams) are doing over time.

What you can access

As a “Manager of” a team, you can:

  • Use the “Teams” filter on reporting pages to see the results by the Teams which you are set as “Manager of”

COMING SOON:

Optional visibility by attribute

Your Account Admins may also chose to give you users set as “Manager of” a team access to other Attributes. This could be results by groups such as locations, genders, and tags.

If you have been given access to one or more Attribute, you will see your team’s scores broken down by additional groupings on your Heatmap. This can help you understand if particular groups within your team are having a different experience.

A few other things to know

  • If you’re also set as “Access to” or “Team Admin” for a team, you’ll have similar results visibility.
  • These changes don’t give you access to account-wide data or other advanced reports that available to Admins, Analysts, and Senior leader users only.
  • All results in Friday Pulse are only shown when three or more people have responded – this protects the privacy of individual responses.
  • COMING SOON: On the Heatmap and Participation report, you’ll only see the results for the team(s) you are “Manager of,” not the team you’re in in the user list (unless it’s the same team).
