User types in Friday Pulse

In Friday Pulse we make happiness data available to everyone, but there are still some limitations on what we share. How much you can see depends on your role.

Participant

This is the default role. Participants can see their results, those of the team/s and for the whole organization. They can't see the results for other teams though. They can edit information about themselves, but not of other people.

Analyst

Analysts can see all data for the whole organization, including for every team and location. They can also edit information about themselves, but not other people. Admins can change Participants to Analysts in the People area of Friday Pulse. Anaylsts are shown by a green bar graph badge on the People page.

Senior leader

In addition to the reporting Analysts can see, Senior leaders will also be provided with bespoke insight reports to help them spot and act on trends. They can also edit information about themselves, but not other people. Admins can change Participants/Analysts to Senior leaders in the People area of Friday Pulse. Senior leaders are shown by a yellow jigsaw piece badge on the People page.

Admin

Admins have the same data visibility as Analysts and, additionally, they can manage the account. This means they can add and edit others' user information, teams and groups and change other account settings. Admins are shown by a green crown badge on the People page.

Account Owner

The Account Owner is automatically assigned to the user who sets up the account. The Account Owner has the same access and editing ability as Admins but can also delete your Friday Pulse account, as well as being able to make another Admin the Account Owner instead of themselves (each account can only have one Account Owner). The Account Owner is also the main point of contact for us and the billing contact. The Account Owner is shown by a yellow crown on the People page.

Additional types

The "Access to" and "Manager of" features aren't user types, but it is worth noting them here as an alternative way to give particular users additional functionality in Friday Pulse.

Access to

The "Access to" feature can be used when you have a user who needs to be able to see the results of a Team which they are not part of. This feature can also be used to give a particpant access to the results of a Tag, Location or other group.

Manager of

The "Manager of" feature allows you to log which user/s manage which team/s. Friday Pulse will provide updates and content to help team managers boost their team response rate and get the most out of using Friday Pulse.
