Using your team’s Culture Profile results

This step-by-step guide helps teams review and discuss their Friday Pulse Culture Profile results effectively.

Team Culture Profile conversations

By focusing on positive scores first, teams can identify areas to celebrate, as well as what’s needed to maintain the score. The discussion around which score to improve then encourages participation from all team members, empowering them to take collective action on areas they can influence.

Step 1: Discuss what’s going well

  • Goal: Focus on positive scores.
  • Start with what’s going well. Identify one or two scores the team is proud of.
  • Discuss what’s behind these scores so you know what needs to be maintained to look after this score.
  • Avoid discussing lower scores in detail at this point - if it comes up, just note them for later.

Step 2: Review the Team Impact Report

  • Goal: Decide on one area to improve.
  • The Impact report uses data to suggest the topics which, if improved, are likely to have the biggest impact on happiness at work. Use the team Impact report to collectively choose a score the team would like to improve.
  • Remember, the Impact report is just there to provide data-driven guidance - if the team has more energy for another topic that doesn’t appear in the top three, it’s OK to choose to focus there instead.

Step 3: Define "What good looks like"

  • Goal: Explore where to improve.
  • Build a picture of what good looks like for the team as a whole - what would it look like for people to score a 4 / 5 on Friday Pulse for that topic?
  • Brainstorm ways to move closer to the "good" standard for the chosen area.
  • Use resources from the Help Center for ideas on how teams can take action.

Step 4: Revisit your actions

  • Goal: Keep track of progress
  • Remember to book in some time to check in on your agreed actions after a month or so.
  • This will not only help you to see how things are going, but also to adjust course if needed.

Top tips

  • Focus on areas you can control. Teams may sometimes feel they can't impact their scores, so discuss what things are within your control and how something could be approached from a different angle to bring it within the influence of the team.
  • Gather insights from others. It’s possible other teams in your organization are scoring well in your chosen area of improvement. Ask an account Admin to put you in touch with high scoring teams to explore how their successes can be shared and replicated.
  • Find small tweaks for good scores. If you’re scoring well everywhere, that’s fantastic! Discuss together any small tweaks or strategies that could be implemented to maintain those good scores.

By following these steps, teams can take collective ownership of their happiness and make meaningful, team-driven improvements.
