Updating an existing user’s details

It’s important to keep your user list up-to-date so you’re getting the most accurate results each week. Sometimes you’ll need to change or add details to your existing users – things like a user’s email address, name, team or location.

Admins of your Friday account can update existing users by logging in and heading to the People section (via the top menu):

  1. Search for the user by name, email address or the team they are in
  2. Click on the user’s name to open up their profile
  3. Click the ellipsis at the top right of their profile card
  4. Click on “Edit” in the menu drop down
  5. This will bring up their current user details, adjust these as necessary
  6. Once complete, hit the “Save” button.

Note: Updating a user’s email address must be completed at least 30 minutes before your questions are due to open on a Thursday or Friday to ensure the weekly invitation email is sent to the correct address. An existing user can log in using their new email address by generating a log in email or Slack message. Learn more about logging in to Friday here.
